ENVIROLAB PC was founded in 2015 following the acquisition of “Gounaris Laboratories,” which had been established in 1989. Our core activity is the provision of services in the environmental sector, specifically sampling and analytical services for seawater, surface water, groundwater, soils, sludge, waste, and refuse.
ENVIROLAB is an ISO 17025–accredited laboratory with a unique Scope of Accreditation. Its facilities cover 700 m² spread across four floors in Volos. The staff consists of 18 people, mainly chemists and environmental scientists who are specialists in advanced sampling procedures.
ENVIROLAB is equipped with state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation, including ICP-OES, Visible / UV-Visible Spectrophotometry, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry, Flame Photometry, Liquid, Gas and Ion Chromatography, automatic analyzers, SPE systems for the analysis of fats, oils, and mineral oils, leaching test apparatus, and more.
In addition to its analytical equipment, ENVIROLAB operates one mobile laboratory, three specialized sampling vehicles, one oceanographic vessel, and two small boats.
ENVIROLAB has the following departments:

- and can also perform Field Measurements
The company collaborates both with the Public Sector (Ministries, Regions, Municipalities) through public tenders, as well as with the Private Sector, and analyzes approximately 30,000 samples each year.
